Wet n Wild Fergie Fall 2014 Limited Edition Fergie Beauty University Palette

So I recently got to know that Walgreens launches a signature palate every year at their stores. In 2014 they launched their Wet n Wild Fergie Limited Edition Fergie Kit, which i was lucky enough to get my hands on as soon as it launched. Ever since I got my hands on this beauty I have been addicted to it.

So this was initially selling for $30 at walgreen's but I got my hands on it from an online page for a mere Rs.2600 .. ! Which was the best thing to happen to me in a long while.

This kit is divided into 3 sections.
Left Section is the Glitter Cream Section with 29 choices
Right Section is the Lip Glosses with another 29 choices
Middle Section contains 72 Powder Eye shadows

It was difficult getting the top open. The entire box feels cheaply made and I was considered I was going to break it before I even managed to get it open…but it was it was rather difficult to open up the first time...
Then up further the palate opens up left and right to show the glitter creams and lip gloss palates.

Over all for the price tag it looks gorgeous for something you would want to keep on your dresser, but it does occupy a lot of space.

Coming up to the colors, pigmentation and practical use of the palate now.
I felt that the gray/black shadows had very little variance. Usually, when they are sitting in the pan right next to each other, you can see a color difference. But, I couldn’t and in the swatches, there’s none whatsoever…

I did random swatches and felt that most were fairly well pigmented, but most of them were super crumbly and it seemed like a lot of waste was being created. I swatched a few of the glitters and as with most Wet ‘n Wild cream shadows, or lip glosses if I were to use them for that, are practically impossible to apply…

After the shadow swatches, I did some gloss swatching. I found that all but a few were super sheer and these wouldn’t have put a lot of pigment on my lips. Several of them are colorless.

The most disappointing thing I ran across was that just after dabbing my lip brush twice into the glosses, I was hitting pan. So one, these pans didn’t have a lot of product and two, the glosses were so runny that I knew they wouldn’t stay on my lips but for only a short time before migrating either completely off my lips or, on my face around my mouth…
But apart from that I really like few of the colors and for the price that it comes with I dont mind the few disappointments. Over all I still say its great value for money. The thing i love the most in the palate are the Glitter creams that come in it.

-Sleek's Party Makeup Gift Box-

Sleek has always been one of my go to brands, its affordable with a touch of luxury. Plus I love the elegant black packaging. When I came across the Sleek Make-up party gift set I just had to get my hands on it. I got my box for Rs.5,700 from an online makeup store on face book called Star Makeup. I just had to get it since the box is worth a lot more than this.
It was available for pre order and I must add that I am super happy with the service and pricing of this page. I've seen prices for it go up to 11,000 on some pages.

-Product Contents-
All of your party essentials in one chic box! This collection of exclusive new launches and limited edition favorites will see you through the party season in style. Just to give an idea iv mentioned the individual product prices which I scanned from different online stores.
The gift set contains:
* Sleeks Precious Metals Highlighting Palette (Rs,2000 to 2500)
* I-Divine Storm Palette (Rs.1500-2000)
*Blush by 3- Pink Lemonade (Rs.1700-2000)
*Gloss me – Hawaii Honey (Rs.1000-1200)
*Full Fat Lash Mascara (Rs.1000-1500)
*Brow Kit – Dark (Rs.1300-1500)
*Eye & Cheek Palate – See You At Midnight (Rs.2500-2700)

So if you total it the original cost of the box would have been somewhere near Rs.11,000-13,400 depending on what prices the pages offer.

-My Experience-

*I- Divine Storm Palette

Ok so the first thing in the box I got my hands on was the eye shadow palate  This is a very beautiful mix of mattes and shimmersThe pigmentation of some colors is not awesome but for the price it’s a good deal. This is a great palate for travelling and it comes with a really large good quality mirror. The only down set for me in this was the applicator which was a sponge tip.

*Precious Metals Highlighting Palette
This is a very gorgeous highlighter quad it includes 3 cream and one powder highlighter. The packaging is a gorgeous dull gold; It comes with a mirror and small brush. The mirror I love but the brush for me is unusable, it isn't worth keeping  its very rough and doesn't work well with applying any of the highlighters.

The cream highlighters are very smooth and pigmented but I’m not much of a fan of cream products, especially because my base is usually powder. However if you do apply cream highlighter you will love them they are quite thick and creamy even when applied over my powder foundation they don’t tend to disturb it much. I love using the cream formulas for highlighting my eyes it looks lovey. The one I love out of the 4 is the powder highlighter it blends inn with my makeup and gives a very natural finish. If the quad had 2 creams and 2 powders that would work much better if you ask me.

 *Blush by 3- Pink Lemonade

This trio contains 3 really lovely colored blushes, 2 powders and 1 cream in the middle. They are perfect for light skin tones since the shades are pretty light but they are very pigmented even for darker skin.
The cream blush is highly pigmented and when applying you don’t need much of the product.
The favorite out of the 3 for me is the peach powder blush which looks lovely on my skin tone.

*Eye & Cheek – See You At Midnight

This is the go to palate when you want something small and compact to take along with you. It comes with 4 eye shadows and 2 blushes. I find the palate very dark for me and won’t be using it much. I love the blushes in it though. In fact I think I love all the blushes that sleek has to offer. But then again the brushes that come with it are totally useless.
*Brow Kit- Dark:
Iv always been on the lookout for a decent brow kit, but most of the stores had it out of stock. It has one wax formula and one cream and comes with tiny brushes and tweezers. I love the formula and pigmentation.
The brushes in this case are very good and I would use these with the cream and powder duo when travelling.

*Full Fat Lash Mascara. I am not a big fan of mascaras, but I must say Im in love with it. The shape of the mascara wand is unique to any mascara that I own. The ball point allows you to apply the mascara easily, focusing at the tip.
Gloss me – Hawaii Honey
Now this was the thing I was most unsure about. But the lipgloss I actually very sheer with a touch of soft shimmer. It feels great after application, and gives a very subtle watery effect. Its personally my favorite gloss up till now.
