-The Koffie Chalet-

A new addition to the super crowded and busy streets of Zamzama
is the Koffie Chalet, The cafe with a difference as they like to call it.
The place is tucked away in the corner of Zamzama right into the Pizza Hut lane. The usual parking madness is not a hassle for this eatery since its located right next to an empty plot so for all those worrying about space, problem solved..
Koffie Chalet. The first thing that came to my mind after reading this was COFFEE, well its quite the opposite in fact. This place isn't just a normal dark coffee and seesha cafe, but more of a twist on a fine dining restaurant . I was flabbergasted on the variety on the menu. with a whooping 110 items on the menu including beverages its more of a something for everyone kinda place. The extensive variety also has a lot of new and interesting items which I personally havent seen around the town, so it keeps it interesting and adventurous.

Ambiance:
As you enter you will notice that the place is not at all over done. Its a mix of elegance and class like you would expect any fine dine to be but at the same time it doesn't have that uptight stinginess to it. Very relaxing, a merge of dark brown and cream takes over the whole place.
One of the very few places iv been that have focused on every bit of detailing and textures of the place and it all comes together very nicely.
A casual, trendy, upbeat cafe by the day and an elegant dinner dine out by the night is how i would put it.

Menu:
The variety in the menu is overwhelming. So it becomes very hard to choose, but one impressive thing is that the staff is very well aqquinted with the menu. They know the food that they are serving. Comprises of Soups, Appetizers, Salads for the health freaks, Burgers, Chef Specials, Pastas, Steaks, BBQ, Desserts and Drinks. Was a huge confusion Hence we went with the recommendations.

Starters:
Butterfly Prawns & Chicken Cheese Goujons
The butterfly prawns were delicious. The batter was crunchy, light and jam packed with flavors, at the same time not over powering the original taste of the prawns. Me not being a seafood person also liked them.
Chicken Cheese Goujons was something that I haven't come across at any place over here.Rolled chicken stuffed with cheese, covered in batter and fried. This was a personal favorite. Crunchy and crispy from the outside, while the inside is still moist and cheesy.
Both the appetizers are for the people who like mild flavoring, since they do not have the spicy hit.

Main Course:
Pollo Alfredo & Swiss Rolled Steak
The Pollo Alfredo is a delight for all the pasta lovers. A perfect combination of mushrooms, sauces, grilled chicken topped with chilli tomatoes. The best part about the Alfredo is the fact that the sauce isn't heavy at all, the balance of the cream is just right. Enough for the flavor but not too much to make it too heavy.
Swiss Rolled Steak, Another addition that I haven't seen here. Rolled up beef steak drenched in sauce and center filled with chopped mushrooms and jalapenos served with sauteed vegetables and herb potatoes.
This was an exotic one for sure. The steak was rolled up and filled with the sauce and mushrooms giving a blast of flavors with each bite.

Desserts.
Brownie Bash
Since we were so full decided to split the brownie bash.
One of the best brownie iv had so far. Served with Vanilla Ice cream and fruits on the side, but the brownie itself was love at first sight, gooey in the center, crunchy and chocolaty from the outside and covered with a layer of caramel and sauce.
That alone is enough to make me go back

Drinks:
Minttoo & Chalet Special

Mintoo was a mint cooler, nothing extraordinary.
Chalet Special when ordered in strawberry is LOVE. Light fluffy and doesn't fill you up while eating.

Overall:
Interesting new concept, the interior is somewhere along the lines of what you see in Butlers but its far more detailed. From the lights to the furniture everything complements each other.Prices are the same as any other place, but the quality being delivered is up to the mark.
The staff is really good at what they are doing. Special attention is being paid to hygyine so points to that..

Happy Eating.
xoxo
