-Blow Dry Like A Pro-

Don't blow dry soaking wet hair
Let your hair dry so its only slightly damp before you blowdry it, this reduces unnecessary damage to the hair. You also can use a lower setting on your dryer also lessening the damage! If you blowdry soaking wet hair you will scorch the hair and that's a definite way to damage your locks.
Removing excess water before blowdrying will also speed up the process. your hair wont need as long under the dryer.
If you apply styling products on hair that is too wet, the product will be diluted and might not work.

Its all in the sectioning
If you watch any professional hairdresser they will start at the nape of the neck and fastening any hair not being styled out the way.
Make sure you let down small enough sections of hair that you can control easily. Dry each small section thoroughly before moving on.
Work up the head, once back is dry, take a section from the bottom of the side of your head working up again. Repeat on other side

Using the right tools
Get a lightweight hairdryer so you can hold for long periods of time without arm ache.
Don't choose a dryer that's too powerful. You don't want to over dry the hair, or blast the hair without control.
Make sure you use the air -focusing nozzle this helps you control the hair as without it, your hair will be blasted randomly, making it harder to style and even tangled.
The correct brush for the style desired is also important. You wont get volume with a paddle brush. I will do a separate post in getting the correct brush.
For the moment get confident in controlling the dryer and brush together before worrying about this too much.

Perfecting your aim
Always start drying any section of hair from the root down making sure the hair is caught across the bristles of your brush. Now aiming the air down the hair move the brush and dryer together towards the ends of your hair.
I hope this helps you feel more confident when blow drying your hair in the future! If you have any requests or questions don't hesitate to leave a comment below.
Do you have any issues with your hair, or problems styling it??
xoxo
