-NYX Glitter Cream Palette-

Glittery eyes are the most talked about look everywhere now. With so many loose pigments by almost every brand we have thousands of options available to us from low end to high end. But the one thing I dread when it comes to glitter application is the hassle of applying it. The glue, the loose pigments, setting them, the fallouts all these things have kept me far faraway from glittery looks. But NYX comes to save with their line of Glitter Cream Palates.

They launched 12 sets and each set has 5 glittery colors in it. So we have plenty of options to choose from. So ever since I heard about them I had to get my hands on it.
They are available online with the price ranging from PKR 1200-PKR 1500.
I got mine as a gift from a friend after being unsuccessful at finding them at a lot of places.
Now this product has been criticized for being awful by almost everyone who I asked about it, but the glitters got the best of me and I still wanted to make it work.

-Product Description-
NYX Glitter Cream Palette is a Multipurpose gel-based glitter combination in a pallet. NYX Glitter Cream Palette comes with 5 shades of glitter, 2 applicators with 3 sponge tips and 1 brush tip. Apply to eyes, lips and face - anywhere you want that sparkling effect!

-My Experience-
The first look at the palate was amazing. I opened it and swatched it the moment I got them.
The swatches were a disappointment, I expected the glitter to be fine and smooth but instead it was chunky and the pigmentation was really off. Its like glitter mixed in Vaseline.
Once you get past the initial 'WOW GLITTER' stage, underneath is a mix of a Vaseline-like substance with glitter here and there. I can't really describe what the effect was like but it wasn't pretty; my eyes looked a complete mess. I tried and tried to work with it but it seems you get more Vaseline than you do actual glitter. Its pretty greasy for eye shadow so it also creases very easily, about 2-3 hours.

How To Make It Work ?
I'll be honest, I was a little confused as to what I should use to apply the shadow - I played about with the applicators the palette came with, but ended up using my fingers in the end as it seemed to make the shadow apply a bit smoother.
The thing I noticed is that it works better if you apply it after putting on some eye shadow of the same color since the pigmentation is very poor the eye shadow base will give it more support. Even after that you would need at least 2-3 layers to get a good payoff.
Another thing I can use this palette as a base for loose glitters, you sandwich this after your eye shadow and before the actual glitters.
-The Good's-
Huge variety of colors
Affordable
Multi Purpose

-The Bad's-
Creases fast
Primer needed before application
Bad Pigmentation
Colors are good only if used over an eye shade
Glitters are not very fine. Chunky pieces of glitter.
Doesn't blend out well

-Overall-
Overall I would not advice you to spend on this palate at all. Unless you plan to use it as a glitter base or if you have the patience to build up the pigmentation.
Since I love the white and golden color here i will try and work my way around it with a few other techniques and keep you ladies posted !!

xoxo
